Rules & Regulations

Revised 2021

The following rules and regulations are for the protection and benefit of all members. These rules have been established to assure a safe and sanitary operation of the pool facilities. Parents are requested to caution their children to observe all rules and obey instruction of the pool manager, the board, lifeguards, and other employees. 

According to the code of regulations: If the conduct of any member of their family shall appear to be in willful violation of the rules and regulations of the corporation, or prejudicial to the interest of the club, the board may, by affirmative vote of 3⁄4 of the entire board, suspend or expel such member. The member shall be given the opportunity to be heard before the board in their defense. 

General information: 

1. Pool hours are 12 noon – 8 p.m. during open season, typically beginning on Memorial Day weekend and closing Labor Day weekend. When Lexington schools are in session, typical hours are 4-8 pm, during school days.
2. The time and schedule for swim lessons will be posted on the bulletin board.
3. The pool will be closed when necessary for maintenance, private events, swim team related events and inclement weather (including days when the outside temperature drops below 65 degrees). Members are encouraged to call the pool or follow the pool on Facebook for announcements pertaining to closures. 

Guest policy: 

1. All guests must be introduced to the pool manager or a lifeguard before they are permitted to swim. Guests must also be “checked in” at the Snack Shack.
2. Guests may accompany current pool members, at a guest fee of $5.00 per visit. This is limited to 5 visits (by the same guest) for the pool season.

Large pool rules: 

1. No floatation devises will be allowed in the main/large pool area, except US Coast Guard approved life jackets, and ONLY if the child is accompanied by a responsible person in the water within arms’ length. Children are NOT to wear life jackets when going off the board as this can cause injury.
2. Admission will be refused to anyone with skin abrasions, colds, etc.
3. Expectoration (coughing or spitting) and blowing of the nose in the pool is prohibited.
4. ONLY babies or toddlers in the arms of an adult will be allowed in the pool during the adult swim time. A toddler is a child three years old or younger.
5. No running, pushing, wrestling, chicken fighting (people on shoulders) or causing undue disturbance in or around the pool area.
6. Diving is ONLY permitted in the diving well area; not in large pool.
7. Children should sit away from the pool edge during rest periods, without their feet dangling in the water.
8. Avoid distracting lifeguards unless absolutely necessary.
9. Snorkeling goggles or any other goggles that cover the nose are not permitted.
10. Rafts, inner tubes, noodles and other large pool toys are not allowed except during designated times such as member appreciation events, family nights and pool parties. 

Diving well rules: 

1. NO child is allowed in the diving well if they are unable to swim the width of the well, unless supervised by a responsible adult. The lifeguards reserve the right to test any child they feel is in question. Life jackets are not allowed when going off the diving board.
2. Dive or jump only off the front of the board. Swim immediately to the ladder or the main pool.
3. Only one person on the ladder to the board at a time.
4. Only one person on the board at a time.
5. Person going off the board must wait until the previous person has reached the well ladder or the main pool. 
6. Only one bounce allowed when going off the board. 7. No swimming or diving in the diving area when divers are using the board, unless lifeguards have designated a special swim time.

Baby pool rules: 

1. Only children 7 years of age or younger are permitted in the baby pool. Children who have passed the basic swimming test (swimming one length of the main pool) or who generally swim in the main pool are not permitted to use the baby pool.
2. All children must be accompanied by a responsible person while in the baby pool. 

General rules: 

1. Members will be issued a membership card and will be asked to show that upon arrival at the pool and at any time, at the request of the pool manager, board and/or lifeguard staff.
2. No littering.
3. No abusive or inappropriate language.
4. Vehicles should be driven carefully and slowly on the driveway and in parking areas. No loud music at the pool or from the parking lot.
5. Bicycles should be ridden carefully and parked in the bicycle racks.
6. The CFSC is not responsible for lost or damage to personal property.
7. Intoxicants will only be allowed at the pool sponsored adult activities (pool sponsored events only not private events).
8. NO glass containers are permitted in the pool area or anywhere within the fenced-in area. This rule is strictly enforced, and
we have a zero-tolerance policy. Violation of this rule can possibly result in termination of your membership.
9. Adult deck is for adults ONLY. Please do no encourage your children to come up on the deck to see you.
10. No pets allowed within the pool area.
11. Adults have priority use of the chairs and lounges… please do not “hold” a large number of chairs.
12. No standing on pool furniture.
13. Children who will not have reached their tenth birthday before May 1 of the current year will not be permitted within the pool area unaccompanied by a responsible person unless they have passed the basic swimming test by swimming one complete length of the pool under the supervision of the management.
14. Anyone with long hair MUST have it in a ponytail when swimming in the big pool. 
15. The Clear Fork Swim Club reserves the right to perform maintenance that may result in temporary pool closures. We do not
offer refunds of any kind, due to this issue and/or other unexpected issues.

Swimming Pool Rental 

1. Members may rent the pool for larger events (20 or more swimmers) from 8-10 p.m. The rental fee will be $100 per hour and will include 2 lifeguards and use of the pavilion. We reserve the right to increase fee based on the expected number of attendees (in the event we need to provide additional lifeguard support).
2. Members may also rent the pavilion for smaller gatherings (less than 20 swimmers) during open hours (noon-8 p.m.). The pavilion rental fee is $25 plus $5 for each non-member swimmer.
3. Please clean up and remove any items carried in for your gathering such as pizza boxes, cake plates, etc.
4. No alcoholic beverages will be permitted – including in use of pavilion.
5. We accept cash, check and credit card payment (PayPal).
6. Reservations are REQUIRED and can be refused based on pool availability.
